In the pack

  • The list package includes various technical parts, 118PCS.Technic parts pack, compatible with LEGO® Technic parts, random colors
  • DIY creative model, freely assembled to create new designs. Perfect compatibility, easy to assemble and disassemble, good compatibility between brick parts, neither loose nor tight

On the bench

A starter pack lives or dies on whether it contains the boring parts. This one does. Alongside the gears there are axles in several lengths, pins in both friction grades, bushes to stop things sliding, and connectors to change direction. That is enough to build a working gear train, mount it on a frame, and drive something at the far end, which is a much better first experience than a bag of forty tooth gears and nothing to hold them.

How it behaves in a build

It is also the pack that gets bought twice. Hundreds of builders have used it as a top up when a long running collection runs thin on the small stuff, because collecting these parts individually costs more in time than the whole assortment does. The set suits classroom use, a first MOC, or a quiet weekend of working out what a worm drive actually does. Random colours, as with everything in this line.

Fit and compatibility

Compatible with LEGO® technic parts and with the EV3, WeDo and Mindstorms part ranges used in school robotics.

    Very cool

I love Legos. Ever since I was 15 and went to see the original Legoland in Denmark. This package has really upped my game.

More from the Gears and Axles drawer

More ASTEM technic parts: gears, axles and compatible building block sets

Our collection is sorted so the next thing you need is one drawer over. A technic gear is only useful if it fits, so every axle, pin and building set here is held to the LEGO® compatible dimensions the system has used for decades. When builders describe the experience of a pack — clean, tight, or fiddly — that customer note goes straight onto the bench.
