On the bench

Most motor kits solve the problem of power and create the problem of space. This one is built the other way round. The S class motor and its companions are compact enough to hide inside a body shell, under a floor, or behind a panel, which matters for display models where a visible battery box ruins the line of the thing.

How it behaves in a build

Five pieces is a focused kit rather than a complete electrical system, so treat it as the motion you add to a build that is already planned rather than the starting point for one. Builders use it for single functions — a turning radar dish, a working door, a slow rotating display base — where a full size motor would be overkill and visible. The parts are sturdy for their size and priced to be used rather than hoarded.

Fit and compatibility

Compatible with all the major brick brands, with mounting geometry matched to the standard technic hole spacing.

More ASTEM technic parts: gears, axles and compatible building block sets

The rest of the ASTEM collection is a click away, drawer by drawer. The technic gear train, the axles that carry it and the beams around it come out of one compatible building set standard, the same one LEGO® technic has always used. When builders describe the experience of a pack — clean, tight, or fiddly — that customer note goes straight onto the bench.
