On the bench

Doubles are what this set is for. Two of the two by eleven V2 cylinders drive a symmetric mechanism — a pair of outriggers, a two sided gripper, matched steering rams — without the asymmetry that spoils a model built around one cylinder and a spring return. Two pumps let a supply keep up with two circuits, and five switches give you room for manual valving without running out mid build.

How it behaves in a build

It is the set we would recommend for a first serious pneumatic machine rather than a first experiment. Builders have been enthusiastic about it in reviews, and the reason seems to be that five switches is unusually generous; most sets give you one or two and leave you rationing control. High precision moulding keeps the seals honest, and the components are sized to the common standard so an existing pneumatic collection extends straight into this one.
