On the bench
The cupola caboose is the shape everyone draws when they draw the end of a train: a short car with a raised box on the roof where the crew sat to watch for hot boxes and shifting loads. If your layout runs steam or early diesel, this is the correct choice, and it is the more characterful of the two caboose types by a wide margin.
How it behaves in a build
Thirty-six feet keeps it proportionate behind a small locomotive, which matters since many layouts pair a caboose with a switcher rather than a road engine. Metal content provides rolling stability, painted lettering and exterior detail match the rest of the shelf, and couplers are fitted. Put it behind the Mogul and you have a complete, period correct short freight in two purchases.
Fit and compatibility
HO 1:87 scale, standard gauge, with couplers matched to the other cars here.

More ASTEM technic parts: gears, axles and compatible building block sets
Everything else in the collection is in the same ten drawers, a click from here. A technic gear is only useful if it fits, so every axle, pin and building set here is held to the LEGO® compatible dimensions the system has used for decades. When builders describe the experience of a pack — clean, tight, or fiddly — that customer note goes straight onto the bench.
